Michael Finlay spent many years travelling the world as an IT consultant, primarily in the far east. His many adventures in the world of computing and exotic food finally took their toll on his health (alternatively, he just got too old for all the jet-lag), at which point he settled down and began to write in earnest.
His first novel, Goliath, was well-received enough for him to devote several years to the follow-up, the Erid Trilogy. This long read (over 600,000 words in total) took almost six years to complete. After a short break to recharge his creative batteries, Michael is about to embark on his new book.
He currently lives in Scotland with his wife.
