Dr. Deb Bauer received her doctor of Chiropractic in 1994 and practiced for several years in Atlanta, GA, before moving to the west coast. She received certification in Reiki, Bio-energetic Synchronization Techniques, nutrition, and Kinesiology over the years. Having a passion for health, she has researched the most natural ways to promote healthy living and a sustainable lifestyle in an increasingly challenging world.
Her background also includes food service, English horseback riding, violin, Real Estate, sales and marketing spanning several decades and states. She loves great food, writing and has two grown children, Ben, living in Kansas City, and Sarah, living in the Portland, OR area. She is an avid gardener, (just ask her about heirloom tomatoes!) hiker, researcher and loves adventure.
Todd Bauer, the co-author of "Love Grounds and Coffee Poems", received his BFA from Oregon College of Art and Craft. His medium is oil painting and he loves using jewell-like colors in the creating of abstract works. Carl Jung's understanding of symbols has strongly influenced Todd's use of circle imagry.
When the economy changed, so did his business and he now has opted for a more traditional career path which he enjoys.
He likes hiking, exploring new places, reading, and making fantastic omelettes on Sundays. He is never bored with Deb.
Todd and Deborah Bauer initially came together over coffee and pumpkin bread.
On their first meeting, Deb suggested they break up, explaining that now would be the perfect time since there is no baggage, no hurt feelings, no accusations and no blame game and absolutely no drama. How could there be, as we don't even know each other? Besides, she asked, how many times have you broken up with someone and THEN got to be friends? Todd thought it made a lot of sense, so they broke up right then and there. A couple of minutes after the break-up, they ate some pumpkin bread and decided to take a walk.
They've been together ever since and have been married just over 10 years.
On a personal note, Deb is currently transitioning from her colored hair to natural gray and wrote about it in "How to Go Gray Gracefully and Look Fantastic."
When Todd started getting migraine headaches, Deb wrote a book about them in
"Migraine: Painful Inconvenience or Something Serious?" knowing that there are millions who suffer from very painful episodes and are looking for help.
Thanks for stopping by.
