C S Talbott

C.S. Talbott, a jack-of-all trades, has resumed his writing journey after a brief hiatus. During the hiatus, he focused on officiating high school basketball, running with the bulls in Spain, climbing South Sister, and reconnecting with his one, "true" Jenny--the inspiration for the novel, "Goddess Seeker."

Endurance training/competing has always been part of Talbott's DNA. He's completed five Ironman Triathlons and 20 marathons including Boston, New York, San Francisco, Portland and Eugene.

A self-proclaimed “Nike Freak,” Talbott has owned nearly every type of Nike product during the sneaker giant’s storied history. While attending the 1972 Olympic Trials at Eugene’s Hayward Field with his dad, Ted, the pair were introduced to Nike founder Phil Knight, immortal Oregon track coach Bill Bowerman, and Steve Prefontaine, America’s greatest running legend. Talbott has been hooked on the Nike culture ever since.

Talbott earned undergrad (journalism) and graduate (Ed Leadership) degrees from the University of Oregon. He is an avid fan of Oregon Ducks athletics, and a lifetime UO alumni member!

Talbott was a high school English and journalism teacher in Oregon and Idaho. He served as a yearbook representative for Jostens Publishing and Walsworth. He also worked as a sports reporter for numerous Oregon newspapers, including the Bend Bulletin, Albany Democrat-Herald, and Medford Mail Tribune.

Talbott has three children, three stepsons, nine grandchildren four dogs and two cats.
