Seth Brady Tucker

Seth Brady Tucker (S. Brady Tucker) is an award-winning poet and writer originally from Lander, Wyoming. Along with the novelist Matt Bondurant, Tucker executive directs the Longleaf Writers Conference at Seaside Florida and is also an award-winning professor at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. His first book won the Elixir Press Editor's Poetry Prize (Mormon Boy), which was a finalist for the Colorado Book Award. His second book won the Gival Press Poetry Award (We Deserve the Gods We Ask For) and went on to win the Eric Hoffer Book Award.

His work has won numerous awards including the Bevel Summers Fiction Prize from Shenandoah and the Flash Fiction Award from Literal Latte, and he has also been awarded scholarships and fellowships in multiple genres at Sewanee and BreadLoaf and others. His poetry and fiction and essays have appeared in scores of magazines such as December, the Los Angeles Review, Pleiades, Verse Daily, the Iowa Review, the Indiana Review, Witness, the Crab Orchard Review. Seth has worked as a wine sommelier, a ranch hand, and as an editor for both large and small literary journals, and has degrees from San Francisco State University, Northern Arizona University, and from the top-ranked Creative Writing program at Florida State University (PhD English). He was a paratrooper with the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division, and served in the Persian Gulf War.
