Mae Pelster

Mae Pelster is a lifelong resident of the Connecticut Western Reserve in Ohio--where she and her husband, William, have spent many years hiking the canal towpaths of the Cuyahoga Valley. She and her family have lived in the city of Hudson for almost eighteen years now. A member of the National History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, Mae received a bachelor’s of arts degree from Hiram College where she majored in humanities and fine arts with an emphasis on American History, British history, and literature. She also pursued a minor in writing at Hiram College, graduating summa cum laude alongside her youngest daughter, Ellice. Mae is currently pursuing a master’s of fine arts in writing for youth and children at Vermont College of Fine Arts and is scheduled to graduate in the summer of 2012.
