Henry Hollenbaugh

Henry Hollenbaugh grew up in the San Joaquin Valley of California near the town of Firebaugh, where he completed grammar school, the extent of his formal education. In 1952, fleeing from unpleasant memories of the Korean War, he wandered into the El Peten region of Guatemala, where he discovered he could earn his living by hunting the Central American crocodile, Crocodylus moreletti. He pursued that occupation for several years, and from that strange interlude in his life he has crafted the fictionalized biography, Rio San Pedro. Other books by Henry Hollenbaugh are Nessus The Centaur and Rhyme of the Fall of Berlin. He lives in Houston, Texas, and earns a living as a freelance translator.
