Lois Reimers

Lois Reimers born 1924 raised in L.A. Joined WAC in 1944 Married Jack in 1947

We had 4 sons. We operated 2 gift shops at Santa Claus Lane near Carpinteria CA. for about 10 years. Then we moved to Thousand Oaks and ran a bar supply business until we retired My Jack, just passed in April of 2011, after 62 years of great friendship and love.

My first love was painting, I have a line of bird cards being sold by "Affectionae Digitals".

I became interested in genealogy. My first book was a fill-in genealogy book for new parents. I began writing family history stories. I found my Great-Aunt Hattie's history facinating, as she lived her adult life as a man. Married a woman in 1910. They ran a weekly newspaper in a small town in N.D. for over 25 years. I spent 7 years on this labor of love had it published July 2011.

"Hattie She Was Wired Differently" is a book that will help folks who have a loved one who is different. Hattie's father helped her by his acceptance.

Am now learning the business of selling books! Very difficult.
