I am an adult amateur USDF bronze and silver medalist. My writing about dressage, horses and Lyme disease has been published by Dressage Today over the last decade. I am not an expert dressage rider by any means and have written this book to help other adult amateurs negotiate competitive showing from a different perspective. Professionals take certain skills for granted - I learned that the hard way. Dressage enthusiasts are often steam-rolled by their first few showing attempts, and even the most ambitious dressage rider will find that "showing" is extremely challenging. I am deeply indebted to my coach Susanne Hamilton who was integral in making my riding dreams come true.
