Scott Burns

Scott is a highly respected sports writer and one of the leading authorities on Scottish football.

He has been a staff writer with the Scottish Daily Express and Daily Star for more than two decades and more recently has also written for their sister titles the Daily Record and Sunday Mail.

Scott started off in the late 1990s at the Press and Journal newspaper in Aberdeen before he moved to the Express in 2000, where he is now the main writer.

He has covered everything in Scottish football from the national team to all the top teams in European competition over the last 20 years.

Scott is also an experienced author.

He has written the popular "Scottish football - it's not all about the Old Firm' and 'Walter Smith: The Ibrox gaffer - a tribute to a Rangers legend'.

He penned the critically acclaimed 'How to lose a million and so much more' with Kevin Twaddle as how the former footballer opened up to his gambling addictions.

He has co-written 'Drinks All Around" the biography of former Rangers and Norwich City striker Kevin Drinkell and "From the heart" the biography of Hearts and Airdrie legend Sandy Clark.

Scott's latest offering was a break from the norm when he co-wrote "Craiginches - life in Aberdeen's prison" for family friend, Bryan Glennie.
