Charles Hoppins

Charles Hoppins is a semi-retired journalist with a passion for philosophy enhanced by formal graduate study and a lot of research. He has worked for The Associated Press and a number of newspapers as writer, city editor, state editor and wire editor. He has been a principle in Western Research Institute (WRl) since its founding in 1987. WRI is a non-profit corporation serving the public, private clients, and the press. Its Web site is wrii.org.

Under the auspices of WRI he has written and published three books and edited and published a fourth. He is currently involved in the study of a number of philosophical movements and how they have affected society. As part of this study, he is overseeing a poll on the public perception of the nature of truth. The Web site of the poll is at IRSonline.org. Some preliminary results of the poll are listed in the book, Rules for Public Discourse and on the Web site of WRI.
