Myles McLeod

Myles is a BAFTA winning writer and one half of The Brothers McLeod. He is the author of the middle grade (6 to 12 year old) series "Knight Sir Louis" published by Guppy Books.

He is also the author (with brother Greg) of creativity books Create Your Own Universe (LOM Art) and A Book of Brilliant Ideas (LOM Art) as well as the fun, novelty books Breeds a Canine Compendium (Square Peg) and Cats a Feline Compendium (Square Peg), both written with sister Fenella Smith.

Myles is also a poet. His poems have been published by Macmillan in Shaping the World and in The Best Ever Book of Funny Poems. He has been published in Emma Press collections "Dragons of the Prime: Poems about Dinosaurs" and "The Bee is Not Afraid of Me". His poems feature in numerous issues of the Caterpillar Magazine.

He is the creator of Circle Square (as seen on Channel 5 milkshake!). He is also co-creator of Noddy Toyland Detective for DreamWorks TV. He is the writer and voice of Billy animations for the Royal Shakespeare Company. His TV credits include Hey Duggee, Clangers, Octonauts and his game-writing credits include SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly.

Myles and brother Greg are also known for their short films, which include 'Marfa' which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018.

Myles has been nominated for several BAFTA awards, including two BAFTA Film Awards for Best British Short Animation (2009, 2019), and two BAFTA Children's Awards (2009, 2011). Myles and his brother Greg won the BAFTA Children's Award for Learning Primary in 2011 for their work writing, producing and directing Quiff and Boot, an animation for Children's BBC Learning.
