Pierre Poulin (1964-) was born in St-Joachim, Québec. He completed his BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees, and postdoctoral studies in computer science respectively at universities Laval, Toronto, British Columbia, and Princeton. In 1994, he joined the dept. I.R.O. of the Université de Montréal, where he has since been teaching and supervising research in computer graphics, that is published in several of the best computer graphics conferences and journals. He has been involved in many conference program committees, and is associate editor of the journal Computer Graphics Forum. He has been co-president or program co-chair of Graphics Interface 2000, Eurographics Workshop on Natural Phenomena 2005, Computer Graphics International 2011, and Eurographics 2013. In another life, he was co-editor with Adrienne Drobnies of "Poèmes sur mesure" (ISBN: 9781425123062), a poetry collection in French of his late supervisor, Alain Fournier (1943-2000).
