Daniela Roher was born in the Italian Alps, where she grew up and lived all the way through College. After graduation, she moved to England, where she attended the University of Cambridge for her PhD. In 1976 Daniela Roher moved to the US to follow her husband, a neuro-scientist and a University Professor. She finished her PhD in the US where she has lived since then, with the exception of a year spent at the University of Oxford in England as a Visiting Scholar.
Daniela Roher has been working as a clinician for the past 30+ years, accumulating an enormous amount of information about how the human mind works and how we develop and maintain (or fail to)close relationships.
Her book, "Couples at the Crossroads" is her first and reflects both her clinical work and her knowledge in the field of relational science.
Daniela Roher believes intimate relationships, as difficult as they might at times be, are healing because they give all of us a second chance to re-work unresolved issues from our past and learn and grow from this experience. She lives in Arizona, where she has a private practice in psychotherapy and where she continues to write.
