Hi there. I'm Pete Davis and I was born in Chickasaw County, Mississippi and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Between those two places I spent nursery school in the Ozarks, kindergarten in Savannah, 1st grade in the Washington D.C. area, 2nd grade in Alabama, third grade and up in Atlanta. Also rested my pen in San Diego, California, where I spent 3 years surfing and avoiding sharks and college.
After buying a Broadcast Journalism degree with a minor in film from Georgia State University, I lucked into a fun career for 20 years in radio as a producer, reporter, anchor, sports director, and talkshow host. I interviewed every sports star in America, as well as diverse celebrities and notables from Princess Fergie to Newt Gingrich.
This led to 5 years as the Sideline Reporter for the Atlanta Falcons, traveling with them everywhere from the Super Bowl in Miami to the Tokyo Bowl in Japan.
My passions are football (college & NFL), baseball, tennis, painting, politics, and history. Oh yeah, my dog Bear reminds me I also enjoy hanging with canines.
I've three sports books on Amazon.com right now with 'I Love Texas/I Hate Oklahoma' also in print. The others are 'The Totally Biased Guide to Southern College Football', and 'Canines of College Football'. Also have two plays not exactly about sports under the nom de plume Noel Davis.
