Sarah Ockwell-Smith

Sarah Ockwell-Smith is a mum of four adult children. She initially trained in Psychology and then worked for several years in Clinical Research and Development, before retraining as an Antenatal Teacher and Doula. She has worked as a parenting coach and speaker for the last twenty years.

Sarah has written 17 books for parents and carers, specialising in ‘gentle parenting’ methods, with her latest; "How to Raise a Gentle Man" out in April 2026.

Sarah is publishing her first book for children, the complete guide to puberty and growing up; "Grow Your Own Way - Your Mind, Your Body and You" in September 2026.
