Jason McWhirter lives in Lakewood, Washington with his lovely wife, and their pup, Tucker He has been teaching history for thirty years, and half of those years were filled with coaching wrestling, soccer, and directing drama plays for his school. When he is not working and hanging out with friends and family he enjoys working out, traveling, wine tasting, fly fishing, and of course, writing. His love for fantasy started young and many school evenings were spent sitting around a fire and reading late into the night, following adventurers as they tested their courage and strength against evil foes. He played dungeons and dragons, video games, anything where he could lose himself in the wonders of another world. This desire and craving to be immersed in worlds of magic and steel where anything is possible drove him to write his first fantasy book, THE CAVALIER, part one of The Cavalier Trilogy. Along with the Cavalier Trilogy, Mr. McWhirter now has two other fantasy series finished, the Steel Lord Series and the Five Lands Saga. If you are looking for something that's not fantasy, take a look at his non-fantasy book, The Life of Ely. That story is about a young abused boy who finds some hope in a teacher and wrestling coach, somewhat paralleling Mr. McWhirter's own experience as a teacher and coach. He has also completed a fictional story called A Year of a Thousand Casts, a story of a pediatric nurse who loses her husband to cancer, who posthumously sends her on quest to finish his bucket list of fly-fishing locations around the world, depositing his ashes at each location while trying to learn to cope with his death. He has recently continued the adventures of the main characters in two of his fantasy worlds. You can follow Jonas in his first Shadow Knight novel, The Shadow Knight, or, if you're a Brant Anwar fan, you can read more about him in The Glimmer Blade, the first book in the Chronicles of Corvell stories. Mr. McWhirter loves action/adventure, drama, and some science fiction. But Fantasy has always been his love. He hopes to continue to teach and write, and maybe one day create heroes and tell stories of their adventures full time.
