Sherry E Showalter

Sherry E. Showalter was born in Radford, VA and grew up in the D.C. area. She spent decades working with Hospice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She was awarded the prestigious National Heart of Hospice Award for psycho-social-spiritual care-giving in 2001. She also proudly served with other First Responders at the Pentagon during 9/11. She was awarded her PhD in Metaphysical Ministry with a specialization in Holistic Life Counseling. She is a keynote speaker, a psychotherapist and the author of "Healing Heartaches: Stories of Loss and Life" published in 2009. Chronic Pain; Hand in Hand she co-authored in 2012 available on Amazon. She is a motivational speaker, psychotherapist and lifelong learner. Dr. Showalter is continually amazed at the resiliency of the human spirit and when not working is known to enjoy sunsets, friends, family and laughter.
