With a love of writing, and a love of playing games and sports, and trying to get others to play with me, I was the sports editor for the high school paper and yearbook. I thought I'd be a teacher and coach, and headed that way, but
discovered Recreational Therapy, and realized that was a profession made just for
me. So, back to college with a purpose, and zeal and finally the BS and my first
job in Rec. Therapy. Twenty eight years later I retired, after working with
babies, delinquents, addicts, psychotics, and elderly Veterans. There is nothing
I could have done that would be more rewarding than using play as a therapeutic
tool, and seeing the changes it could effect in special people.
