Lisa Byrd

Lisa Byrd is a seasoned practitioner and gerontologist with a diverse nursing background that includes extensive work in geriatric advanced practice nursing. Dr. Byrd is currently Director of Clinical and Facility Compliance with Provider Health Services, LLC. In this capacity, she oversees physicians and nurse practitioners working at long term care and skilled nursing facilities in several states.

In addition to speaking nationally on a variety of health care topics, Dr. Byrd is an adjunct professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the University of South Alabama, teaching courses in the graduate nursing programs. She is also a published author, a section editor for Geriatric Nursing Journal, and a successful business owner.

Dr. Byrd shares her expertise with the Alzheimer's Foundation of America as a member of the credentialing team for the "Excellence in Dementia Care Program," offering facility certification in dementia care.
