I am a first-time novelist who has indulged my imagination in a story surrounding one of the world's most famous organizations, the Knights Templar. The Art of Deception is my first attempt and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I am semi-retired and started the book four years ago. In my inexperience with the publishing world - and the business of publishing - I made the mistake of creating a mammoth tome that sent agents and publishers alike screaming in the opposite direction. Finally, an agent from heaven sent me a message to cut it to the bone or turn it into two books. Enlightenment! I thanked her profusely.

The Art of Deception is followed by the sequel, the Paradox of Intrigues, which is followed by the third book entitled A Legacy of Honor, which centers around the French Revolution and reunites the characters from the first book. Yep, a little reincarnation comes into play.

The Spanish stallion is fashioned after my own half Andalusian gelding, Fabio, or 'he of the bedroom eyes', as he is known to his worshiping female friends of all species from his owner down to the barn cat who sleeps on his back in the winter.

Aside from writing and riding, I enjoy gardening and simply enjoying life, friends and food.
