R.L. Herron

His earliest known ancestor arrived in the colony of Virginia in 1635. Three hundred and thirteen years later, Ron was born in central Tennessee. He grew up in Michigan and freely admits hating the winters, but he still lives and writes there with his lovely wife, and a finally-paid mortgage.

A former National Merit Scholar, Ron holds a BA from Monteith College at Wayne State University (where he was inducted into the Honor Society) and an MBA from Michigan State. He once worked for some of the world's largest advertising agencies and an international Fortune 10 company. A member of the National Writer's Association, Detroit Working Writers, Michigan Writers, and the American Academy of Poets, he has written multiple works of fiction.
