Bill Petite

Bill Petite is a retired government employee who worked with and for the Department of Defense for over 40 years. He and his wife live in East Texas and are the parents of three adult children. Bill is a former Marine who served in Vietnam with the 1st Marine Division, 5th Marine Regiment in 1969-1970. His second book, Memories of Vietnam, tells the story of his experience in the year he spent there. The book recounts his memories of the friendships formed, the combat experience in Vietnam and the struggles of returning to society.

His first book, A Rose in The Desert, is a book which tells of the work environment at a government contract where he worked in 1980s and '90s. It describes the extreme, vile party atmosphere which existed at the job site and how it was changed by a few faithful people following God's lead. Drugs, alcohol and sex on the job, daily, was a normal practice. For a person with any amount of good morals and good values, the daily grind at the job site was definitely a struggle. Only Jesus could change this environment and this story tells how He did that.

Bill Petite has been involved in various Christian ministries over the years, including ministries for men and Men's Pastoral positions. He has a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Freedom Bible College and Seminary.

He is also the author of these books: Walking Through the Book of Acts, Characteristics of a Christian Man, Growing Up Simple, The Mystery of Lewis Reeves; A Pastor's Story, Narrow is the Gate, A Rose in the Desert and Thoughts on 1 Timothy.
