Wouter Looten

Wouter Looten was born in The Netherlands, where he grew up and met his first wife Judith. After only 18 months of marriage, she was brutally killed on a business trip in the Far East. Fifteen years later Wouter wrote The Widowers' Manual where he shares his journey from the moment when he lost his wife. His road to recovery has been quite bumpy and steep, but he finally found his way. He discovered that he loves to help others develop themselves and their lives to their full potential. His loss inspired him to make people aware of a simple fact, and that is that we have to really live our lives, that we have just one that's been given to us. It is our job to live it to the maximum, not just by talking about our dreams and wishes, but also by acting upon them. We have to get out of the stands and go onto the field, where we state our values and live by them.
