Louis Rogers

Louis Rogers is an English language teaching author and materials writer with more than 25 years of experience in English language education. He holds an MA in English Language Teaching from Nottingham Trent University and has taught English in the UK, Germany, Portugal and Italy.

Louis spent nearly a decade at the University of Reading, where he taught English and academic skills to international students and was involved in course development, assessment design and academic skills teaching. His experience working directly with students preparing for university study has been a particular influence on his writing.

He has written or contributed to more than 80 English language teaching publications for leading educational publishers, including Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Macmillan, Pearson and Collins. His work includes Skillful, On Point, Direct English, Oxford EAP and a wide range of IELTS and academic skills resources.

Alongside his work for established publishers, Louis develops his own books focusing on academic vocabulary, grammar and effective English language use. His aim is to produce clear, practical resources that help learners understand how English works and use it with greater confidence, whether studying independently or in the classroom.
