Kevin O'Connell was born in the town of Longview, along the Columbia River in southwestern Washington State. He grew up in Centralia, Washington, the middle child of high school teachers. After attending Gonzaga University, his early desire was to work in film, resulting in a screenplay he wrote called "Houses and Rooms", which was produced into a short film and premiered at the 1999 Seattle International Film Festival. He went on to graduate school at Emerson College in Boston, MA, where he taught freshman writing.
Kevin is the co-author of The Ultimate Baseball Road-trip (1st Ed), Why I Hate the Yankees, and The Ultimate Baseball Road-trip (2nd Ed. - all published by Lyons Press. He is currently working on a novel.
