Susan Curran

Susan Curran is an author, editor and publisher. She has written over 30 books, covering a wide span of fiction and non-fiction. She ran a small fiction publisher, Rampant Horse, in the 1990s, and has run Curran Publishing Services Ltd (www.curranpublishing.com), which provides editorial and production services for large and small publishers, since the mid-1990s. Curran Publishing Services now has two publishing imprints, the Lasse Press, which publishes non-fiction of a broadly cultural nature, and Curran Publishing, for fiction.

Susan now writes mostly non-fiction, and her two widely praised medieval biographies, The English Friend (of the first duke of Suffolk) and The Marriage of Margery Paston (about the troubles of two young lovers in fifteenth-century Norfolk) are available through the Lasse Press. Curran Publishing has recently published (as a Kindle ebook) her crime novel With the Enemy, set in and around a recently privatized government agency in the late 1990s. (Any similarities with her former employer HMSO are, she swears, entirely accidental, although that has not stopped former colleagues from trying to identify themselves in the book.) In future Susan plans to bring out some of her other fiction titles for Kindle.
