Susan D. Smith

Susan D. Wine Smith was born in 1965 in Morgantown, WV and grew up in rural Fellowsville, WV. Upon graduation from High School she went to Texas Bible College in Houston Texas 1983-1985. In 1989 married the love of her life, Mike Smith, and together they had two children. She graduated from WV Institute of Technology in 1996 and has had an illustrious career juggling the roles of wife and mother with executive.

In August 2008 she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. The book Surprised by God are the blogs of the journey that disease has taken her on. She credits God and faith with her survival along with excellent doctors who kept digging. She includes the good, the bad and the ugly. She takes away the mystery of cancer and treatments.
