Laura Poplin

Laura Poplin has been in the world of corporate sales most of her working life, but always dabbled in creative pursuits. She was introduced to basic jewelry making by an acquaintance, but after taking a byzantine weave class, began to focus primarily on chain mail. Metalsmith classes were taken with the intention of using metalwork in her mail designs. Laura's designs almost always include chain mail; sometimes as the focus and sometimes in a supporting role for other interesting elements.

Besides designing jewelry, Laura's favorite activity is hanging out with her grandson Clay. She also enjoys teaching, especially the MONCO Joli Jewelry Club, which is a group of disabled people who LOVE making jewelry!

Laura lives in Southwest Ohio with Queen Daisy, her big bossy Weimeraner.
