Martina Cole and Roberta Kray have inspired her gangland books. Daphne Du Maurier, Shirley Jackson, the Brontes, MR James, Anne Rice, Edgar Allan Poe and Algernon Blackwood inspire her gothic work.

Heather explores the darker side of human nature through writing but love and loyalty are also at the very heart of her books. She loves to move and inspire people through her work. On the rare occasion Heather isn't writing, she enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her family.
