John Murray

John Q. Murray's earliest memory is of moose in his backyard in Kenai, Alaska. He wrote and performed for a national public television series at WTTW-Chicago; was foreman on a salmon cleaning line in Alaska; worked the Kaibab Plateau on a survey crew along the Utah-Arizona border; reported and edited weekly newspapers in Alaska, Utah, and Montana; developed code for military flight simulators in Utah; managed a CCAR big data project for First Hawaiian Bank; and for 10 years was the first developer to play with new technologies at Microsoft, writing sample code for software development kits. He is married to the award-winning writer J.L. Murray and is currently supporting street newspapers in Eugene, Oregon with the news service Whole Community News.
