Jim Ertel

After seventy plus years of living, fifty years of marriage, two children and six grandchildren, there are but a few things that Jim says have stood the test of time; God's unconditional love, the love that his wife has so graciously bestowed upon him and the joy of family. Jim served in the US Navy from 1967-1971. Twelve months of his service were spent in Vietnam as a helicopter crewman. His first love was flying. So, he became a commercial pilot. That may be the reason for the creation of the Adventures From Hangar 1, stories found on his website. He transitioned into business as an insurance and investments adviser then served as a development officer for non-profit organizations. During that time, he also taught college classes, as an adjunct, on family and children. Some call him, "Grandpa Jimmy."
