Born and raised in Baltimore (B More) Maryland, I LOVE FAMILY! I have 5 children and seven grand children.

My children were raised reading books.

We would take field trips to the library.

I would say if you want to learn anything pick up a book.

I read to them at an early age, and because of this time spent with them, I believe that is why they excelled well in school, and in life.

I love writing always have, even as a little girl when I composed a slangbook.

I have been writing for over 30 years,though I pursued many paths in life,

writing was the only thing that remained constant.

Writing is in my soul, and yes, I want to make it my life.

I like how author Sharon M. Draper put it "I learned to dream through reading, learned to create dreams through writing, and learned to develop dreamers through teaching. I shall always be a dreamer. Come dream with me."

Carol Channing said it best " (of her acting career) "That's my joy in life, that's my gift, I have NOTHING ELSE!"
