Doug has a varied background that includes his tour in Vietnam during 1967-1968, afterwards over fifty years of experience as an electrical designer working for engineering firms around the country. During this time Doug completed his education by returning to school and graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Divinity.

Doug's first work was a coming of age book, Second Place Finish that occurred during the '50's and 60's which also covered the tour of duty in Vietnam, also a collection of writings from men served with, in Vietnam Reflections. Additional works from a Christian view and belief, plus fiction and also exercise.

These books look at some of life's mysteries and relationships.
