John Pennington

I am a freelance journalist, writer and author, previously specialising in cricket but also interested in football (soccer), rugby, motor racing, hockey, golf and other sports as well as topics such as politics, history, and technology.

I have published three books of my own on cricket - retrospectives on the 2009 Ashes series and the 2013 Women's World Cup as well as a diary of my own experiences playing club cricket.

I have also written a semi-autobiographical work focusing on my then-local hockey club called 1,309 Days Later.

I was a keen hockey player, enjoy walking, music, cooking and computer games. I was born in Yeovil, Somerset and currently live in West Sussex.
