Bart Baker

With ten novels, eight plays, and 20 produced film and TV credits, Bart has been writing professionally for 40 years. Starting in the theater, the film rights to Bart's play, RELAY, were bought by Warner Bros., which led him into screenwriting. Bart has had two feature films produced, LIVE WIRE and SUPERCROSS, 14 produced movies for television for networks such as CBS, ABC, USA, Family Channel, Hallmark and the Lifetime Network. His most recent film, TERRY MCMILLAN PRESENTS: FOREVER, starring Taye Diggs and Meagan Good, earned him a 2025 WGA nomination for best screenplay for a film in television or streaming. His next film, HIS, HERS & OURS starring Taye Diggs, Lesley Ann Brandt and Aimee Garcia will premiere on Lifetime under the TERRY MCMILLIAN PRESENTS: banner, in the fall of 2025. He has also work on four television series including DIRT, starring Courtney Cox.

Bart's novel, HONEYMOON WITH HARRY was a critical and commercial success with the movie rights purchased by Amazon-MGM while in galleys. It was announced that Kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal will star in the film adaptation. He has written two sequels, A SECOND HONEYMOON WITH HARRY and THE LAST HONEYMOON WITH HARRY. His most recent books were the CORDON FINN VENGEANCE SERIES, introducing an exciting, damaged new badass, Cordon Finn, in I PROMISE YOU PAIN, A BRUTAL MIX OF BLOOD AND GOLD and HUMAN WRECKAGE. Lastly, B*TCHES GET STITCHES, the first a three book series was released in June 2025.

Bart lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with his husband, Joe Elvis, and two sons, Isaiah and Emmanuel. Besides writing, Bart is a lifelong swimmer and gym rat.
