JW Cleland is an amateur social philosopher and history buff who suffers from a writing delusion. Writing delusions, unlike the more common psychotic aberrations such as schizophrenia or parenthood, often resolve themselves over time, sort of the way many hemorrhoids do. Most delusional writers eventually gravitate to more satisfying hobbies, such as self-mutilation or prostitution, and some even go on to lead productive lives. Undeterred, but still deluded, Cleland has abandoned the notion of being a putt smeddler and has riden off into the sunset seeking greener pastures, a different genre, and a new pseudonym, leaving a steaming pile of stories in the road.
Along the way, Cleland's stories managed to find a couple of dedicated fans from among a group of exceedingly attractive, intelligent, and discerning readers, each of whom scraped up a couple bucks to buy a copy. Thanks, both of you!
"Writing is not necessarily something to be ashamed of, but do it in private and wash your hands afterward." -- Robert A. Heinlein (Much the same can be said for reading Cleland's stories.)
