George Wright Padgett is a Texas-based author whose love of storytelling began with science fiction novels, comic books, and sci-fi films of the 1970s and 1980s. After an early venture into children's picture books, he shifted toward darker and more complex stories, exploring worlds filled with mystery, adventure, and the unknown.

His work spans multiple genres, including science fiction, epic fantasy, steampunk detective fiction, and horror. Whether crafting conflicts between kingdoms, unraveling supernatural mysteries, or imagining futures shaped by technology, Padgett is drawn to stories that blend compelling characters with immersive and imaginative settings.

When he isn't writing, George divides his time between his family, performing as a jazz pianist, and working as a graphic artist. He lives in Texas with his wife and two children and still believes that every great story begins with a simple question—and the willingness to follow it somewhere unexpected.
