Tomasz M. Beer M.D.

Tom Beer, M.D., is a medical oncologist and leading cancer researcher who leads a research and clinical trial program at Oregon Health & Science University’s Knight Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon. He has dedicated his professional life to improving the care of cancer patients through the development of new and better treatments. Tom has led more than a hundred clinical trials, ranging from trials that study a medication in humans for the first time to global large-scale trials designed to change cancer care. Through his book Cancer Clinical Trials, Tom hopes to give readers the information they need to make decisions about participating in a clinical trial as a part of cancer care. Tom is thrilled to have teamed up with Larry Axmaker, a cancer survivor, to craft this book.
