Deborah A. Beasley

Deborah is an accomplished author, parent educator, family coach and consultant, who helps parents find what they desire most in raising special needs children. Deborah helps struggling caregivers find healing and loving connection in relationship with their child no matter what the difficulties. She stands shoulder-to-shoulder with parents she works with, helping them discover that parenting with mindfulness, right information, and an open heart IS effective parenting that meets a child's every need.

Deborah Beasley was born and raised in the Delaware County suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to southern New Jersey thirty-five years ago when she married her husband. After blending a step family and raising three more children to their early teens, Deborah and her husband became foster parents and adopted two African American little girls. Deborah's adoption journey has been one of trial by fire and discovering critical paths to healing for their children.

Successful Foster Care Adoption, Emotional Journey Uncommon Love, grew from Deborah's passion training caregivers to understand the developmental challenges of children, and recognize the importance of committing uncommon and limitless love to each foster or adopted child, while creating the environmental structures necessary to facilitate long term healing for each child and parent. In this book, Deborah raises awareness of challenges faced before and after foster care adoption, while preparing and guiding caregivers toward family success.

The story of Sweet Pickles, The Girl Who Would Not Speak, artfully echoes Deborah's personal journey with one of her daughters as she conquered the challenges of anxiety and communication.
