Darren grew up and was educated in Oxford in United Kingdom. After finishing his education he spent several years working and traveling extensively all over Europe and Southern Africa, before returning to the UK and settling in London.
He is still an avid traveller, enjoying exploring new destinations as part of his job, and also for leisure. He now works as a marketeer and researcher and frequently writes for the LGBT media, producing articles, blogs and musings for a variety of print and online publications.
Darren sharpened his razor wit and writing talents at various LGBT media companies including Beige Magazine and Gaydar, giving him a unique insight into the world of gay and lesbian media, where the truth is all too often stranger than fiction.
His first novel is a pastiche of his experiences living, and loving at the heart of London's gay media land. His tongue-in-cheek style, coupled with an irreverence for authority, makes this first raucous romp into literary fiction a rip roaring adventure, bursting at the seams with intrigue and danger.
"THE read of the Summer. Darren's first novel is an hilarious tale of contemporary London queer life and culture, full of unique wit and humour." - Gay Market News.
