Sheldon Stoff

Now Professor Emeritus at Adelphi University, Dr. Sheldon Stoff holds three degrees from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, where he also taught courses on the philosophy of Martin Buber. During his years as educator and spokesperson for Humanistic Education, in correspondence with, and inspiration from Dr. Buber, he established the International Center for Studies in Dialogue. He received the Outstanding Educator of America Award in 1974. He is author of The Two Way Street; The Human Encounter, Vols. I & II; The Pumpkin Quest; Universal Kabbalah: Dawn of a New Consciousness; The Western Book of Crossing Over: Conversations with the Other Side; and co-author, with Barbara Smith Stoff, of Conscious Evolution: The Dance of Intuition and Intellect. Barbara Smith Stoff is co-author, with Sheldon Stoff, of Conscious Evolution: The Dance of Intuition and Intellect. A poet, artist, and producer of Emmy Award winning Poems of Wonder and Magic, she has received multiple academic awards, taught English, Comparative Literature and Art at various levels, from elementary and secondary school to university. Her Mandala Art Training offers professional education strategies to school districts, artists, teachers, counselors, and convalescent home staff. Upon her personal journey, for more than fifty years, she has quietly and intently focused on transpersonal studies, esoteric, and comparative mythology.
