It amazes me that bias so blatantly continues in the Courts today.

It took ten years, together with the support of my dear husband, to win the right for my son Sam, to choose how he wanted to live his life and where he wanted to live. Sam's feelings were being ignored, but we were determination not to give in to the pressure from the Courts. My message in my book is be bold. Don't give up or give in.

I began my working life as a translator and later worked for an International advertising company. While doing some freelance work I was asked by a London teaching hospital if I would assist them in computerising two research programmes and later went on to co-author scientific papers on phenylketonuria and hypothyroidism.

Today I manage my husbands medical practice while running my own cosmeceutical company. I partner my husband in operating a light aviation company where I still use my languages, both in business and in the air. However, when not flying light aircraft or on the back of my husband's motorbike, my preferred way of getting around is on my bicycle.
