Lana Frank

Lana Frank is a diamond cutter, consultant, and author with over two decades of experience at the intersection of diamond manufacturing and industry education. For nearly 18 years (2007-2024), she led Diamond Faceting, Inc., a firm registered in South Florida that specialized in manufacturing larger rough diamonds and fancy colors. A first-generation trade member with a background in fine arts and technical drawing, Lana bridges the gap between the cutting bench and the consumer. Throughout her career, she has gained versatile experience spanning from wholesale and retail operations to consulting and training. Her business sense has been further sharpened by education at Harvard Business School and the LVMH Institute, where she focused on management, operations, and luxury branding. As the Co-Creator of the Online Rough Diamond Course, she is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of professionals. Lana Frank is the author of All About Diamonds, a book that advocates for artistry, history, human story, and the shift from selling “carats” to preserving “legacy.” She is the developer behind the ILC, a custom-designed diamond cut that reflects her artistic vision. Her process and philosophy behind this signature cut are detailed extensively in her book. All About Diamonds is being published in October 2026 with the support of the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS), founded in Bangkok, Thailand in 1978. AIGS is highly- respected international gemological education and research institution with expertise in gemstone identification, grading, laboratory services, and the study of gem materials and jewelry. Its connection to global professional gemstone community makes it a fitting partner for a book devoted to the history, craftsmanship, and enduring legacy of natural diamonds.

As an expert in her field, she is planning to produce a series of narrative non-fiction books on a similar subject matter for different age groups. Her first book DIAMONDS was published in 2012, ages 6 to 9. In her book ALL ABOUT DIAMONDS, author Lana Frank shares a host of valuable information and facts about diamonds. ALL ABOUT DIAMONDS-First Edition is published in 2015, ages 9 and up. Good for school projects and general education.
