Welcome to my Excerticus series.

My books bring to life what it was to live in a roman province such as Britannia; serving in the army, the navy and the cavalry.

Domestically, there is the food, the villa life and the gods of Rome to accompany the adventures.

My books span the period of roman involvement in this island and if you are interested in the era then they are an ideal supplement.

For me personally I have reenacted the period for 15 years and presented talks on the roman cavalry as well as having visited many of the most iconic sites in this country. There are roman forts close to me in Dorset and plenty of isolated roman road miles to walk along for inspiration. At home we try roman recipes and keep abreast of current archaeological finds.
