John Coomson

John Coomson was born in Ghana in February, 1955 to a Methodist father,farmer/cocoa treasurer,and a Cathoic mother, farmer and a trader.He is married to a Pentecostal wife, a nurse with five children.He lost his father at age of twelve years. After elementary school, he started life as an office messenger combined with part-time studies at Takoradi Polytechnic, Ghana. He continued with Home study courses with Rapid Results College London He has lived and worked in Ghana, Nigeria, Italy, Germany and United Kingdom..He also attended London Metropolitan University. After years of frustration at one post at the work place, he left for Nigeria in 1980 where he was an accounts teacher in a college and later an Accountant/Administrator in a medium-sized company.

He left Nigeria for Italy in 1984 where he was a farm labourer. He first went to the United Kingdom in January, 1985 and he combined mini-cabing with home-study courses with Rapid Results College towards Association of Business Executives Part I & II, and Writing Course with the Writing School of Wood Green.

He was in Nigeria again in 1988 when he became a member of the Association of West African Young Writers (Reading Sessions and Life performance by members of other members’ works). He was in Germany between 1989 and 1990 doing menial work including farm labourer. He was again in Italy between 1990 and 1994 doing menial work including Water pump mechanic (domestic & Industrial).

He was again in the United Kingdom in 1994 and after years of frustration from publishing houses, he did sandwich courses with Password Books, Manchester, in Introduction to Publishing, Marketing In Publishing and Design & Production in Publishing. In 1998 he registered Ras Publications Ltd. to take care of his writing career. In 2000 he first registered Rainbow Coomson Ltd. to do business as a Travel Broker. In 2001 he registered a full-time course at the University of North London to read Leisure & Tourism. He was also a full-time Bus Driver. After one year he changed his course to read Accounting & Business Management. Being bored, he changed his course to read Banking & Finance for new challenges. Stroke disease dragged the course till he graduated in 2011, in Financial Services.

He is the author of The World In Our Time, Komfo Takes A Deutsche Dame and Sea Never Dries.

He enjoys watching Football, Athletics, Rugby, Lawn Tennis, Boxing and Wrestling.
