Don Blackwell is a trial attorney in Coral Gables, Florida. At various times, he also has been a little league baseball coach, a public speaker, the founder and principal organizer of a charity golf tournament benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, an adjunct professor of law and an award-winning author of 5 peer-reviewed feature articles that have appeared in the Florida Bar Journal. In addition, Don has authored 3 books. His first book, The Bunt, tells the story of a little leaguer's struggle to overcome the fear of failure, while his second, Rounding Third, uses a sometimes volatile relationship between a perfectionist father and his sensitive, but equally self-demanding son to explore the importance of learning from, rather than dwelling on, our mistakes. Don's most recent and highly anticipated book, "Dear Ashley . . ." - A Father's Reflections and Letters to His Daughter on Life, Love and Hope shares the lessons Don learned in loving and supporting his daughter during her struggle with a life-threatening illness.
