K. Patrick Moore

K. Patrick Moore was born in Huntsville, Alabama and traveled the world with his career army father. As a young man of 18 he served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He holds a doctorate in cognitive psychology from the University of California, Riverside, a Masters degree in Educational Technology from California State Polytechnic University, and a bachelors degree in Greek and Hebrew language and literature from Regis University (Loretto Heights College) in Denver, Colorado. As a long time educator, he has been a teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of schools. Dr. Moore has written educational books, as well as, science fiction short stories and poetry. After he retired Patrick and his wife, Lynda, traveled the country in their RV with their dog, Cody for three years. Now they split their time between South Dakota and Missouri. When not writing, he plays the concertina, visits national parks, and consults for universities and K-12 public and private schools. In addition to being a longtime educator, Dr. Moore has been a minister, an entrepreneur, a member of military intelligence, an artist, and an author.
