It took me until my 37th birthday to finally admit what I'd known since I was 10: I am a writer.

And I don't just mean that in the sense of "I'd like to be a writer someday." I mean that in the sense of, "I AM a writer." I have stories, ideas, and words dancing through my head at all hours of the day.

That constant stream of thought has produced self-published books of fiction and non-fiction, a children's novel, thousands of blog posts, dozens of magazine articles, journal entries, and more Tweets than a sane person should be able to claim.

I write for a living, too. I'm the Director of Content for the John Maxwell Enterprise, as well as the Director of the John Maxwell Publishing imprint with HarperCollins Leadership.

I'm at work on a book about writing, as well as a second children's novel. My family and I live in Monroe, GA, and we enjoy spending nights on our back porch, staring at the fireplace and listening to the wind.
