Jennifer P. Tanabe

Jennifer Tanabe was born in Scotland and obtained her Bachelors (1974) and Doctoral (1978) degrees in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh. She then moved to the United States as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Minnesota's Institute of Child Development in 1978-1979.

She currently works as a freelance editor and writer. Her recent work includes working as the Social Sciences editor for the New World Encyclopedia; as book review editor for the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace's Dialogue & Alliance; serving the International Educational Foundation as a researcher, writer, and editor; and as an educational consultant for Outcomes Assessment for the Unification Theological Seminary in Barrytown, NY.

She writes fiction as well as non-fiction, and her writing interests include the paranormal, indigenous peoples and cultures (especially Native Americans and Celts), mythical creatures, music, movies, food, and tea.

She is married and has one adult daughter. They currently live in the Mid Hudson Valley of New York State with their cats.
