RF Wilson grew up in suburban New Jersey, went to school in Ohio, and migrated to North Carolina in the late 1970's. He now resides with his wife, Beth, in Asheville. His thirty-plus years in the addiction field included running a free clinic in Columbus, Ohio in the early '70's, counseling addicts and their families, administering non-profit agencies, and running treatment programs in private hospitals and prison. Those experiences have had a significant influence on his fiction writing. A writer of over over 20 short stories, he is currently working on a prequel to his first novel, "Killer Weed," which, like its precursor, features Rick Ryder and is set in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Bob has three children dispersed around the country: Cammie in Moscow, Idaho; Jossie in Asheville; and, Adam and grandchildren, Wyatt and Wynn, in Columbus, Ohio. His interests include music, movies, cosmology, philosophy and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
